What side of the aisle you're on doesn't matter this should be a big concern for everyone. Venturing out a little here, to be clear this isn't a political post it's not pushing a specific ideology. Didn't take long for that to be abused to spy on American citizens for political reasons. Do you think such back-doors won't be abused? The FISA courts were put into place to do the same thing for the US: spy on foreigners suspected of ties to terror. Think that is the true intent? Think again. Giants Apple and Google dominate mobile operating systems do you think they are not using your data? They are being heavily pressured to build government back-doors into their OS under the guise of fighting terrorism. I personally stopped using gmail over two years ago (not an easy thing from which to divest after using it for a dozen years) and no longer have a Facebook account.

They are no longer just a forum for people to communicate, they have become editors and publishers, which violates the special provision in US law that was carved out on their behalf many years ago. These companies are now some of the most powerful entities on earth and they are using that power politically, to promote their own agendas and stifle agendas with which they disagree. If I had spent time "liking" various things on the site, and businesses, and products, the value of the account would have dramatically increased to much more than just an email address to be sold to an email marketer. Sure enough, I started receiving email at that junk account addressed to the exact first and last name on the fake account.īear in mind the fake account had little more than a first and last name. I entered a junk yahoo email address that I alway use in case there is a chance of receiving spam. I know many don't use google photos, and indeed with their free storage policy change after June, they might well lose many more. I now need to find out if it's possible to extract that info and put it in Lightroom somehow, although I doubt it. (I'm guessing it did it this way and not from photo recognition of the buildings or background.) Once home, I uploaded my photos from the X-T2 to google photos, and it must synchronise the time I was in the area with the camera time. Along the way I'm merrily snapping my little snaps. I've been wandering around Bucharest, and as I don't know the city, plotted a route on google maps to be able to just keep moving and look as if I know where I am going if I felt a bit uncomfortable in an area. But I accidentally found a way google pictures also automatically plots where photos were taken. I know this has been discussed a lot and there are some great plugins to add gps coordinates to exif files, like Jeffrey Friedl's “Geoencoding Support” Plugin for Lightroom.
